Betty and Tom Pozsgay with Grandson Keegan Graduated from College Misericordia and married in 1966. Did secondary ed. substituting in Binghamton and New Milford, PA. Our first son was born in ‘68 and that began the June Cleaver days--no apron. Did volunteer work and enjoyed being home with the kids for 18 years. From 1986 to 1995 I worked with four-year-olds at a Pre-Kindergarten. With the brood up and gone I traveled with my husband from ‘95-97. Tom is a contract electrical engineer and his work took us to Kokomo IN, Huntington IN & Lynchburg VA in those three years. After ‘97 I needed to return to my "roots" in Seaford, we’ve resided here for 25 years. Worked in a coffee shop, Caffe Sarajevo, for three years -great networking and fun place-while I attended the community college for a Gerontology Program. Started full time at our local Senior Center as Program Director in 2000. Full time work is wicked, but hey, we have a great staff and I love the seniors Family: Brian, 33, married, GA Tech grad and works for Motorola in Atlanta. He was on campus when Atlanta got the bid for the ‘96 Olympics and then volunteered at the Games 6 years later. Lynn, 32, married, VA Tech grad and Registered Dietitian grad from MCV, in Richmond, VA. Her claim to fame occurred April 6,‘02 when she made the NY Times with a quote & picture. Her community, Canon City, CO is fighting to stop the shipment of radioactive dirt from Maywood, NJ -a superfund site- to Canon City. Lynn & her husband have the cutest grandson any grandparent could hope for, 2 1/2yr. old Keegan. All grandparents are allowed to say that. Chad, 30, University of Delaware grad, resides in San Francisco, works, saves & travels. He makes the best host for anyone wanting to visit the city. Sharon, 27, married, graduated from Carson-Newman College & resides in Morristown TN. Teaches first grade and is working to complete her Masters from UT, Knoxville. After graduation in ‘97, Sharon settled in Binghamton, lived with my Mom at 43 Fenton Ave. and taught at Chenango Bridge (special ed.)& a half year at Chenango Valley before marrying and returning to TN. My Mom (92 years) resides in independent living at St Louise Manor on Front St., next to Broome CC. She‘s pretty amazing, great health & sharp mind.
