After CV I received a degree from Canisius College in management in 1966. In
1967 I received an MBA at the University of California at Los Angeles(UCLA)
in transportation. Later in my career I completed the Advanced Management
Program at Duke University. After UCLA, I started work at Ford Motor Co.,
where I remained until 1983. Opportunity came calling at Chrysler and I
joined them in 1983. I retired from Chrysler(now DaimlerChrysler) in
February, 2001, where I served as Director, Vehicle Logistics.
I married Bobbie in 1971 and we have two great childrem. Scott, who is 28, has masters degrees from Purdue University and the University of Washington. Currently he works for the Boeing Co. in Seattle, WA as a manufacturing engineer. Our daughter Carrie(age 26) graduated from Oakland(Michigan) University and is a human resource supervisor at Enterprise Rental Car. I am thoroughly enjoying retirement and spend the time traveling, playing golf and gardening. ![]() (Click for larger view) The last ten years have brought a lot of changes. In 2007, Bobbie and I picked up stakes in Michigan and relocated to Arizona, a move we had been planning for several years. We built a new house on a golf course in an active- adult community named Sun City Festival, located in Buckeye, AZ, which is 45 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix. We love Arizona and stay very active with all the amenities available to us in Festival. We are involved in many of the community activities and I golf 3-4 times a week. I am also president of the Festival Model Railroad Craft Club. Bobbie and I also volunteer at major league baseball spring training, working at the Texas Rangers and KC Royals stadium in Surprise. In the past ten years I lost both my parents, who lived near, and eventually with us, in Michigan. My Mom died in 2003 and my Dad in late 2006, at age 93 and 97 respectively. We were blessed to have them with us for so long. I also lost my only sibling, Frank(CV class of 1958) in 2009. We’re still traveling a lot, mostly throughout the west. Our next big trip will be back east and south for six weeks to attend the reunion and visit friends and relatives. |
