of Port Crane Ronald L. (R.J.) Jewell, 60, of Port Crane, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005. He is survived by his mother, Margaret D. Jewell, Green Bay, Wis.; brother, Frank and Kathy Jewell, Oak Island, N.C.; sisters, Valerie Gurney, Green Bay, Wis., Karen and Chuck Schurecht, New Port Richey, Fla.; nieces, Peggy McGuire, Green Bay, Wis., Nancy Fish, Tully, N.Y., and Kimber Kurey, Binghamton, N.Y.; one nephew, Sean Jewell-Freeman, Binghamton, N.Y. Ron worked for GAF for 17 years and retired from the State of New York BOCES. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. His quick wit and great sense of humor will be missed. Ron will be sadly missed by family and a large host of friends. At his request, there will be no viewing or service. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ron. Arrangements are by the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Directors, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson.
