After graduation I spent a few years in the Navy visiting the exotic countries of Turkey and Morocco. What an experience for a 19-year-old-kid! I met my wonderful wife prior to leaving to go overseas and after she graduated from Keuka College in Penn Yan, NY we were married on July 1, 1967. I decided to go back to school and attended BCC from 1969 to 1971. After graduation I went to work at GAF (Anitec Image Corporation) as an electrical engineering assistant. My wife and I bought a house north of Chenango Forks in Chenango County and began raising a family. I went to work at Masonite in Towanda, PA in 1983 as an electrical project engineer, and our family moved to Rome, PA in 1984. We bought an older house on top of Towner Hill with a great view! Our children have grown up and moved away to start their own lives. Suzanne graduated from Lycoming College and is self-employed as a medical transcriptionist. Jonathan graduated from Keuka College and then Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA for a master's in Physical Therapy and is presently working at a hospital in western Virginia. Kathleen graduated from Wells College and is presently living in Boulder, CO and working in the film industry. Linda, my wife, just retired as the executive director and case-worker for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters agency in Towanda, PA. My wife and I have been blessed with a great life and wonderful children, and we are looking forward to my retirement in five years to spend time traveling. I also look forward to spending more time enjoying my hobbies: amateur radio and fly fishing. My mother still lives on Crocker Hill, so we are in the area regularly. March 2012 Update "I retired in 2006 and my wife, Linda, and I moved to the mountains of Virginia. Our son and daughter-in-law and two granddaughters live nearby. Linda and I enjoy having the grand children around. I spend my time volunteering at church and the Ruritans; home improvement projects; gardening; ham radio; reading and all those things I was too busy to enjoy prior to retiring. " We will not be able to attend the reunion but want to thank all those who are making this reunion possible. Thanks for keeping me up to date on our classmates. |
