After High school it was a whirlwind of colleges until finally graduating from Broome Tech, Syracuse University (BS) , American University (MS) and a few other colleges over the past 20 years with other graduate certificates of many varieties. Served for 5 ½ years in the US Navy as an officer from 1967 -->1972, followed by several years in reserves, married in 1968, have two children (Greg, 32, mentally afflicted with schizophrenia, but doing well under the care of Binghamton Catholic Charities) and Alicia 28 (graduated from UMASS , employed by Aetna in Hartford, Conn.) No grandchildren on the horizon. ![]() Dick and Kathy, backyard of new home on pool patio overlooking our backyard, December, 2001 Unfortunately, divorce fell my way in the mid-80's , but after many years , one day God was smiling on me when I met my current wife of 9 years , Kathleen. She is the Executive Assistant to the CIO of Devonshire, which is a wealthy retirement dwelling on the grounds of the PGA National Golf Course in West Palm Beach. ![]() Alicia (my daughter) and Kathy at the entrance to our home, Aug, 2001 As you can tell we live in Florida, since 1994, just built a new home in Jupiter (just north of West Palm Beach on the East Coast). I have been with IBM for over 34 years in many capacities, currently as an Senior Executive Project Manager. I plan to work full-time until mid-60's, then slow down in my 70's, if my health holds out. Travel started to increase over the past 5 - 10 years, in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan, mostly on business. Most exciting recent trip was to the Grand Canyon as a family vacation, last September, which you can see in the panorama shot below. We are a family of boaters and beach lovers enjoying the Florida coast and interior waterways. I miss the Northeast when the seasons change, and fortunately we have been able to travel there over the holidays to see all the changes in the home town of Binghamton over the past 10 years. ![]() Dick and Alicia, the background is the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, Sept, 2001 I look forward to the reunion and seeing many classmates after such a long time. , as I did not attend any previous get together.
