I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New Your City my freshman year. In 1963 I transferred to and graduated from Buffalo State Teachers College with a BS in Home Economics Education in 1966. My first job upon graduation was in Rochester, NY at the social welfare agency as a caseworker in Aid to Dependant Families. That being too over-whelming I moved back to Binghamton and taught with Miss Martha Millian in Home Economics at Chenango Valley for one-half year before moving to San Francisco in 1968 (with flowers in my hair). Upon arrival in SF in late August, I found a teaching job in Pittsburg, CA. I taught school for 2 years and then decided to join the adult world. I have been in sales of commercial office furnishings in San Francisco until this past September. When the economy took it's dive I was forced into semi-retirement. In 1990 I married Derrel Kennedy. He is the father of two adult children and a grandfather to 6 mo. old Sean who is the apple of my eye. Derrel was a wood shop teacher at Monta Vista High School in Danville, CA for 35 years. We live in Lafayette, CA approximately 25 miles outside San Francisco - God's Country. We enjoy traveling - his family / my brothers and father - dancing - exercise - cooking - bridge and wonderful friends. The CV web-site is absolutely terrific and I look forward to seeing everyone in September. Please comtact me at dianeobrienkennedy@msn.com |
